Range Committee

The Range Committee's mission is to promote the safe and appropriate use
of firearms through education, training and providing safe shooting opportunities, while at the same time preserving
and protecting our environment:

1. Maintains state-of-the-art outdoor shooting facilities for most types
of rifle and pistol shooting. |
| |
2. Sponsers classes in marksmanship, competitive shooting, gun safety and
reloading. |
| |
3. Has several special interest sub-committees which are responsible for
holding special events:

Pistol
Smallbore rifle
Youth rifle |

4. Activily supports the shooting sports by holding regular matches, leagues
and programs, including CMP Highpower Rifle, Highpower Prone, Centerfire Benchrest Rifle, Cast Bullet Benchrest,
BR-50, Blackpowder Rifle, Smallbore Rifle, Air Rifle, Youth Rifle, Free Pistol, Standard Pistol, Centerfire/Sport
Pistol, Air Pistol, Rapid Fire Pistol, and Bullseye Pistol. Current events will be posted on the club calendar. |

5. Maintains membership in State and National shooting sports organizations:

6. The Range Committee meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, at 7:30
PM in the Chalet. The meeting lasts about an hour. Event Chairman report match results and on upcomint events,
maintainence and safety issues are discussed, work parties are planned, Special Use requests are handled, and topics
of interest are discussed. The Range Committee meetings are open to any interested member. |
